About Us
Dear Students and Parents,
We would like to welcome all new students and their families to our studio, and welcome back all returning students and their families. We are looking forward to another exciting dance season.
Dancing is a great form of expression and is fun to learn. Like all art forms, it takes years of dance training to be proficient at the craft. Dance teaches a student many skills; self discipline, expression, poise, better body coordination, dedication, and commitment. Students in dance learn to work with others in a team atmosphere. Over the years, we have watched our students build friendships that last far beyond the classroom.
A strong work ethic for both the teachers and the students is essential for the learning process. An at home practice schedule helps the students return each week with a confident attitude. We believe that parents need to encourage their child to be the best dancer that he or she can be. We truly hope that the time your child spends at the studio is both enjoyable and a learning experience in dance and life.
Please remember that at Dance Traxx Studio we believe communication is the key to your child’s success. Additional newsletters will be available throughout the year and prior to the year end recital, with important dates to remember and studio info/happenings. If your child does not bring one home, please drop by and pick one up at the desk in the lobby. The studio bulletin boards are our way of posting events, schedules, competition information, conventions, deadlines etc. We cannot contact everyone individually on every event so the responsibility is placed on the parent to ensure that you keep up to date on studio information.
If specific concerns arise that must be addressed by a teacher or the studio director (Phoebe Cross) please contact the office to either make an appointment or leave a message and your call will be returned promptly. We value our dancers and their families and look forward to assisting you in any way we can. Personal issues will not be discussed during our important teaching time. Please give your dance teachers and studio staff the consideration of not calling them at home, unless they have specifically asked you to.
